Sunn Stinger 60 — Vintage Solid-State Guitar Combo (1980s)

This amp isn't about boutique build quality — it's about raw tone.

The cabinet is built out of the worst particle board in the history of mankind, but the sound is loud, crunchy, and surprisingly musical. Great for blues, rock, and 80s metal — think Rhoads, Van Halen — or as a mod platform if you want to unlock even more.

Features:

  • 60W solid-state combo amp
  • 1x12" speaker
  • Clean and dirty channels
  • Built-in spring reverb
  • Simple EQ layout
  • Made in the USA (early–mid 1980s)

Condition: Good. One corner edge piece is missing — replaced with black duct tape. It's in the back left corner, barely noticeable and doesn't affect performance. The amp likely took a fall at some point, with a visible crack in the box and a fracture in the plastic frame. But it's like a Timex… it takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

I'm considering having a new cabinet built for the awesome insides of this amp. One day I might do it — if no one buys it first. The reverb is a bit weak and currently needs investigation. But I love this amp as is for a power chord cruncher! No distortion box required!
