  • Special 6 Combo: Excellent working condition with light cosmetic wear. Fully tested, no issues.
  • VHT 2×12 Cabinet: Fully functional with honest wear. Exterior has nicks and scuffs, and one handle was broken and partially repaired. The repair is solid but not pretty. Speakers and wiring are in great shape.

Description

This is a great little modular tube rig built around the hand-wired VHT Special 6 combo. On its own, the Special 6 is a responsive, low‑watt amp that's perfect for home playing, recording, and pedal‑based setups. Plug it into the VHT 2×12 cabinet and it opens up dramatically — more low‑end, more projection, and a much bigger soundstage.

The 2×12 cab also includes a mono thru output, which lets you daisy‑chain another speaker cabinet. I tested it by running the cab into a Genz Benz 2×12 (also available in the shop), and the setup delivered a huge wall of sound. It's a simple but powerful feature if you want to expand the rig or fill the room with full‑on rock‑star tone.

The combo is clean and ready to go. The cab shows its scars, but it performs exactly as it should and pairs beautifully with the Special 6. If you want a real tube amp that stays musical at low volume and scales up when you need it, this setup is one of the best values out there.

Pairs with

Genz Benz 2×12 Cabinet — also available in the shop. I tested the VHT's mono thru output into the Genz Benz for a huge, wide "wall of sound" setup. If you want to expand this rig, the two cabs work beautifully together. The partially open VHT adds a musical, airy spread, while the Genz Benz commands a hard rocking thump with a tight bottom end. Each compliments the other for a firm and musical wall of sound.
